Michael Savino

Michael Savino serves as the VP of Operations for M1 Finance. M1 has created a Smart Money Management Tool that allows a user to build, invest, and optimize their money from one easy-to-use application. Since starting with M1 in 2015 as the second employee, Michael has spearheaded the creation of functionality that sets M1 apart from other tools on the market, specifically M1 Invest, which allows a user to build and invest in a customizable portfolio, M1 Borrow, which allows access to an affordable line of credit, and M1 Spend, a checking account and debit card that gives a user access to his or her money from the same application that they’re managing their investments. In the 5 years he’s been with M1, Michael has gained an expertise in the Wealth Management industry and has experienced the many different facets of building a financial services application from the ground up. Prior to joining M1, Michael worked at Nuveen Investments. He has a BS in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
